Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant position for TruckPro, LLC. will be responsible for performing thenecessary duties required to assist in producing financial statements in atimely manner each month.  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fulfill monthly close-related tasks for assigned areas of balancesheet and P/L which includes journal entries, reconciliations, and analytics
  • Support senior divisional leadership with analysis andunderstanding of financial information
  • Reconcile assigned  balancesheet accounts & maintain support folders
  • Review financial statements prepared by others prior to inclusionin monthly financial statement package
  • Act as a key contact for various internal partners when accountingquestions arise
  • Review and document current processes and procedures and suggestrecommended process improvements to management
  • Gather data and contribute to the budget process
  • Participate in inventory and audit process
  • For assigned accounting areas, develop in-depth knowledge offinancial reporting and how they interface with the general ledger
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent isrequired. MBA or CPA certificate preferred.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Fourto six years of related work experience

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong writtenand verbal communication skills
  • Strong computerskills including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge ofgenerally accepted accounting and auditing practices and principles
  • Ability toresearch accounting questions/concerns and present clear, concise, andactionable findings for management review
  • Well versed in performingdetailed balance sheet and P/L analytics
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a team performing work that requires criticalthinking and attention to detail
