Job Description

SUMMARY:

 This position will beresponsible for safely, accurately, and productively checking and putting awayinbound freight.

 PRIMARYDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Specialize in the testing of Allison transmissions
  • Training will be provided
  • Basic mechanical skills required
  • Prepare transmissions to be placed in stock or ship on truck
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Service andrepair work as needed
  • Basictroubleshooting and inspections
  • Inspecttransmission for conformance to standard
  • Diagnose andrepair basic equipment wiring
  • Cleans toolsand working area
  • Paper workand/or R/O documentation
  • Basiccomputer literacy and good verbal communication skills
  • Performsother routine duties as assigned

 EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent isrequired.

 EXPERIENCE:

  • One to two years of related work experience ispreferred.

 SKILLS& ABILITIES:

  • Candidates must possess thefollowing:
    • Good verbal and writtencommunication skills.
    • Ability to lift in excessof 50 pounds when needed.
    • Ability to operate an RFscanner.
    • Ability to utilize IRMSdesktop a PC.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is active. Typically the associate willlift, pull and move heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of 50 lbs.The associate will also have to do the following throughout the day: walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing.
