Job Description

SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for leading the day-to-daywarehouse operations to include planning and directing distribution activitiesand deliveries.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Pick, pack and process customer orders, while assisting with the efficiency of the warehouse  
  • Assist in receiving, inventory control activities, including physical and cycle counts.
  • Trackdistribution and maintenance records.
  • Assists with direction andassistance in the solution of problems that arise with customers or associates.
  • Trackgeneral expense of in/out freight and truck maintenance records.
  • Organizesand coordinates delivery and dispatch of trucks to customer and/or other stores.
  • Promotesa safe and organized work environment as it relates to equipment, trucks andinventory.
  • Coordinates all stock ispulled and loaded into the delivery vehicle with accompanying and necessarydocuments, in conjunction with delivery schedules.
  • Assistwith monitoring and reconciling cores.

NON-ESSENTIALDUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsiblefor assisting with the physical handling of the return of parts to the storeand the manufacturer.
  • Performother assigned tasks/responsibilities as needed.

EDUCATION:

  • HighSchool diploma or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Oneyear of related experience required.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Good written andverbal communication skills.
  • Ability toutilize CRT
  • Forkliftcertification
  • Ability to liftin excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate shipping software.

The work is active. Typically the associate willlift, pick, pull, and stock heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of50 lbs. The associate will be required to stand for long periods of time andwill be required to operate a forklift. Also the associate will also have to dothe following throughout the day: walking, bending,twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing and climbing.
