Job Description

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for performing sales activities inside the store. This position will also act as a customer service representative to develop sales relationships with walk-in and telephone customers. 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain sales orders from customers
  
• Determine customers need for merchandise and inform of any current special sales
  
• Generate pick tickets for orders to warehouse
  
• Assist customers with warranties
  
• Process orders for outside, account sales team
  
• Sell, build, and/or make ready various parts for customer (i.e. hose building, valve exchanging, u-bolt building, etc.)
  

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

• Answer phone within 3 rings
  
• Greet and assist customers upon entry
  
• Maintain parts catalog
  
• Maintain clean, safe and well stocked retail area at all times
  
• Inform manager and/or account manager concerning problems or complaints
  
• Call customers to solicit sales
  
• Offer related items for job completion and know and promote all product lines
  
• Assist customers with purchased products to their vehicles
  
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
  

EDUCATION:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  

EXPERIENCE:

• One year to two years of related work experience is preferred
  

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to utilize CRT
  
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds
