Job Description

SUMMARY:

This position will beresponsible for managing accounts payable personnel and preparing analyticsderived from accounts payable transactions. The Accounts Payable manager willbuild annual statements file for inventory reconciliation process, ensurevendors are paid timely and accurately and act as a liaison between TruckProand our suppliers requesting payment for goods and services.  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage accounts payable personnel, providing coaching/training where appropriate.
  • Resolve complicated customer account reconciliation issues when unable to be resolved by other department personnel.  This includes working with the store personnel, collection department personnel and the customer.
  • Issue weekly discounts lost report.
  • Review lease changes and payments on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure timely, accurate payment to vendors and manage vendor terms.
  • Prepare annual statement workbook for inventory reconciliation; research received dates tested.
  • Support stores that have lost office manager(s) and/or don’t know how to process their payable transactions.
  • Manage SSC disposal of confidential documents with Shred-it.
  • Monthly reconciliation of A/P sub-ledger to general ledger.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree inFinance or Accounting or equivalent experience required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Four years of relatedwork experience required.
  • Management experiencerequired.

  3. Ability tocalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,proportions, percentages, and volume.
  4. Ability towrite routine reports and business correspondence.
